Nutella Pockets

So last month we had a goodie day at work, I wanted to bring something, at first I was going to bring some traditional Calabrese Christmas goodies, scalette however my family devoured them and the night before I was forced to make something else. I really wanted to share the recipe here, I thought someone else would enjoy it, so here is a recipe for Nutella Pockets! NOTE: This recipe makes about 40 cookies, you may get more or less depending on the size you make them.

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened plus 2 more tablespoons, melted.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar plus 1\4 cup for sprinkling
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • Nutella (1 1/2 cups or less, this depends on the size you make them).
  • OPTIONAL: 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened. You could also try mascarpone.

2 Year Anniversary

2 Year BraceletYesterday was Christopher & I’s two-year anniversary. Last year, if you remember, we went all out, this year we did things differently. Since I created a scavenger hunt around the city last year, I figured for this year I would do something different. I went into work on Monday, leaving my Friday open to do as I pleased, which left me time to complete my plans I created earlier in the week.

Basically I created a coupon book, as my gift, since movies and sushi were on me. Lets just say he loves them, considering the fact there are two coupons for foot messages, and I hate feet. I spoiled him for sure on those two. He keeps them in his wallet.

Christopher this year however went all out on me, and I gave him shit for it at first, but once he explained to me in the car why he did what he did, I truly understood the meaning behind the gift. In the picture below (or maybe you saw it on Instagram), he got my a yellow and white gold tennis bracelet with nine hearts each containing a diamond. Unfortunately after getting resized I had to take two hearts off, but I have the option to convert those into studs, so I am totally saving up for that.

We went to our sushi place, and enjoyed a huge meal, we went to Starbuck to kill time and then went to see the movie Brooklyn. I highly suggest the movie and will be reading this book for sure, loved it from start to finish. I also tried the new latte macchiato from Starbucks, loved the taste but was I ever on an espresso rush after that. Other than the weather being completely unbearable at -30 celsius, and using a ton of gas to heat up the car every time we had an amazing evening. I am so very blessed to have this man in my life, and I cannot wait to see what this year brings us (hopefully a vacation in the Bahamas).
